Chronic Disease Reviews
Our healthcare assistants and practice nurses carry out reviews for patients with Diabetes, Asthma, Hypertension, Heart Disease, COPD and any other chronic disease.
Patients can have a blood test taken from 09:30 to 17:30. Please speak to reception to book these appoitments with the phlebotomist and health care assistants. Blood tests can be carried out at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital if this is more convenient. You will need to book an appointment and take along the request form.
Travel vaccinations can be arranged at the practice. Speak to our receptionist for further advice. Please ensure travel vaccinations are booked at least 4 weeks before travel. If travelling to Hajj/Ummra there will be a charge for this specialised vaccination. Please ask at reception for details.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 4 weeks before you travel - to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
