The practice operates an appointment system for the doctors, practice nurses and healthcare assistants. Bookings are easily made by calling on 0121 440 4666 and speaking to reception. Many routine conditions can be managed by other members of the healthcare team. A considerable number of appointments will be made available on the day. We continue to review our system regularly in order to give patients swift access.

Save time on the phone.  Appointments can be booked ONLINE.  Please download the BSOL HEALTH APP and follow the instructions for SELF VERIFICATION.

How to Book an Appointment with a GP

  • During the CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC - All GPs appointments will all initially be telephone consultations. The GPs will assess the need for a Face to Face consultation and book this as required.  Nurses appointments remain Face to Face consultations.
  • Same day morning emergency appointment - ring any time after 09:00 to book an emergency appointment – allocated on a first come first served basis.  Also available for Online booking.

  • Pre-bookable appointments - ring anytime between 08:00 and 18:30 to pre-book up to 4 weeks in advance. Please try to avoid the busy times of 9am and 1pm as same day emergency appointments are booked during these times.

If you require a doctor in an emergency you should ring the usual surgery number. The receptionist will try to accommodate any genuine emergencies and arrange for you to be seen by a GP. An emergency is a medical or social problem, which requires immediate and urgent attention.

If all our emergency appointments are booked, you can still be seen at the nearest Walk In Centre – The Hill General Practice and Urgent Care Centre, 856 Stratford Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham B11 4BW. Telephone 0345 111 1310.
